Kalandra proudly congratulates our latest Level 5 Diploma in Embalming graduates — the only programme of its kind in New Zealand, delivered in partnership with the NZ Embalmers Association.
This intensive one-year course combines online study, webinars, workshops, and a major practical exam. Despite being largely online, our students form close bonds and provide incredible support to one another in this demanding profession.
Graduation took place in Queenstown during the NZ Embalmers Association’s annual conference. With growing international interest, we’re excited to offer a hybrid option for offshore learners — blending online learning with hands-on experience guided by NZ embalmers.
Congratulations to all our graduates — your skill, compassion, and professionalism make us proud.

And the major award recipients were:
Clare Archer - top overall student and the Noel McNee award for top practical
Alice Belcher – Kalandra Caring and Compassion Award and Top Theory Award
Whitney Greene - Citizen award chosen by the students.
