Love our nature

Love our nature

Our environment around us is changing day by day. There are more diseases, more pollution, more stress and so on. Is it because nature is changing? Or is it because of human activities? It’s now time to think and start acting. I think the simple way to get rid of all these problems, is to just ‘LOVE OUR NATURE’. Nature has all the resources to keep humans healthy and happy. People are busy with all their daily tasks, if we have time to take care of our environment and surroundings there is no doubt we will get a positive effect on ourselves.

I can still remember my beautiful childhood days, when I had time to keep in touch with my surrounding, I can remember my school days when we used to plant a tree on environmental day. These simple tasks which keep us alive and moving through life. We are now busy spending hours in front of electronic devices. How many of you still look at the rising sun, the sweet chirping sounds of birds, the sunset, beautiful full moon, and the lovely twinkling stars. Each of these things give us relaxation and if we try to enjoy the beauty of nature, you can see miracles happening in your mental wellbeing.

Do you believe that some of our human problems such as anxiety and depression can be cured by spending time with nature?  Yes, it is a fact! Research studies in eco-therapy, in which focus is on doing activities outside in nature, have found that the treatment is effective in dealing with a few types of depression. Spending time in nature benefits our mental wellbeing.

I have tried a few daily practices in my life, which personally I feel helps to get rid of daily stress and promotes my mental wellbeing. It’s as simple as standing near a window in early morning. Looking at the beautiful surrounding, taking some fresh air that blows and touches gently over our skin...just be there for few minutes. It’s going to give you energy for your whole day. Try to see each and every simple thing that catches your eye, feel the beauty and just LOVE THE NATURE. Practicing this for now nearly 5 years has made me mentally strong. Sometimes I even do the same practice when I am upset and it works well during that time as well. I feel like at that moment I am in another beautiful, dreamy world where I find myself very comfortable. Of-course each person has their own way of being with nature but no matter what way you choose as long as you stay connected with nature you will experience the benefits.

I even wonder how our surroundings have changed. In my childhood days I can remember there were only a few private vehicles around my place and now things have changed with most family members having vehicles. But have you ever thought of walking in nature? Enjoying the cool breeze. Walking with bare feet, touching the soil.  It plays an important role. We stay connected to our soil. It is so simple but my love for nature is endless, I always try to spend even a few minutes every day outside. Nature has medicine for many problems that humans are facing today.
